These are general policies to be kept in mind when considering having me come to your group. Nothing is written in stone; these are just good starting points.
Fees:
My fee for a presentation of 1-2 hours is $150 (or 1/2 the
total fees collected whichever is greater).
For workshops, a fee of $400/day is charged, or 1/2 the total
tuition fees collected from workshop participants, whichever
is greater. Workshops generally run six instructional hours/day.
Materials and supplies needed for the workshops are extra (estimates
can be calculated when the length of the workshop and any special
focus is decided) but are usually modest. Many of the necessary
items can easily be provided by participants at very low cost.
Coverage of excessive shipping costs for large works or large
quantities of supplies may be necessary.
My travel expenses and lodging, (private, modern room; no smoking)
are also the responsibility of the presenting organization. If
I am bringing large amounts of materials and/or the workshop location
is within a day's drive, it is usually best for me to drive. Otherwise,
there is freight expense for shipping materials in addition to
my airfare (and even so I scale back what I ship).
A non refundable deposit of $50/day, applied toward fees above,
may be required to reserve teaching dates.
Consultations $45/hr plus travel and lodging. References available.
