Woodsboro is near the foothills of
the Catoctin Mountains, about 30 minutes from the presidential
retreat, Camp David, and surrounding parks. It is a very small
town- find Woodsboro and you will find Forestheart Studio, on
Main Street with a pale purple roof, at the bottom of the hill
below the town water tower.
On a map, look north northeast of Frederick,
Maryland at the junction of routes 194 and 550.
Woodsboro, and Forestheart, are about an hour from Baltimore or
Washington DC. MAP DIRECTIONS
Woodsboro is also home to Paper and
Ink Books: www.paperinkbooks.com .
There is a good old-fashioned deli in the town grocery, and a
mom'n pop restaurant too.
Two miles south in Walkersville are various fast food chains and
a good Chinese restaurant;
15 minutes NW on 550 in the town of Thurmont are two all-you-can-eat
buffet restaurants and motels.
Woodsboro is just 10-20 minutes north
of Frederick, where there are great restaurants and my special
favorites:
